Natasha Herting is a graduate from NC State's Industrial and Systems Engineering Department and a LEAN Six Sigma GreenBelt. Natasha was the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventory Engineering Intern at NC State and was actively involved in developing NC State's Climate Action Plan. As the Sustainability Commission Director, she held an energy competition between dorms by installing a real‐time energy monitoring system, developed a bike share program, wrote and unanimously passed the Campus Sustainability Continuous Improvement Act. A partial list of experience includes Sustainable Engineering at Burt's Bees; optimizing production, reducing lead times, electricity, natural gas, and water consumption in addition to creating a product foot‐printing calculation and scorecard.

Natasha is the Energy Division Project Manager for Optima Engineering. She is directly responsible and controls schedules of all Energy Division projects including Greenhouse Gas Inventories, Energy Efficiency Surveys, Energy Audits, Energy Management Planning, LEED EB GAP Analysis, Renewable Energy Projects, Retro‐Commissioning, Energy and Resource Monitoring.
